My Return to the Paper Diary

Rediscovering the notebook

I found my old Filofax in a box. A colleague at work recently bought a ReMarkable tablet, which he uses for taking notes. It sparked my old interest in taking notes on paper.

I’ve always had mixed feelings about taking notes on my computer. My current setup is a collection of Markdown files.

There are advantages — I type quickly, I can search, and it’s easy to structure and reorganise things.

May

Megatrends

Four out of six

It’s not enough.

If you would set a grade on something - a movie, a song, something and use a dice as the rating system then four out of the maximum six would be almost good enough.

The Netflix film you almost stop watching, the song you actually do stop after listening to it for too long, a life which is barely OK.

It is a shitty grade because it is too easy to just stay that way. It is not bad enough to really be a pain but not good enough to enjoy.
